The conventions define and explain individual terms, formatting and specific uses applied in the text of the directives.

refers to a corresponding Unicode character. Furthermore, in the transcription examples for higher Unicode characters, the XML-derived notation form&#xNNNN;
is used. - Source
- Unless otherwise stated, the original is to be understood as the digital facsimiles of a book.
